Happy FRIDAY! I mean all days run together and feel like Fridays at this point in quarantine but it still deserves to be celebrated! Today is a SPECIAL wedding blog (I know I say that every time, but this one takes the cake), because it is my very first Colorado destination wedding! Ashley & Eric could NOT have been a better couple to work with! They clearly love each other so much, and their closest family and friends watched them say “I do” on top of a snowy mountain in Granby, Colorado in February! I loved this bride A LOT. We bonded over our love of “Friends” among many other things. I miss her already! And ladies, you need to find yourself a groom like Eric. For real. We had to take a ski lift to the top of the mountain where the wedding ceremony was and it was A LITERAL DREAM! At an elevation of 7,935′ the Granby, CO view was to die for. They could not have picked a better wedding venue/location! The sun was shining and I couldn’t get over the breathtaking mountains in front of us! Ashley & her girls looked so beautiful in their dresses and the groomsmen were so much fun! I still can’t get over how much this day meant to me and I am so honored Ashley and Eric entrusted me to shoot it for them. Wedding photos are SO important, and are the beginning to family heirlooms. How fun will it be for generations to come to look at these photos?! It makes my job all the worth doing. Hopefully 2021 brings more destination weddings like this one! And Colorado, i’ll be back soon!
Kelsey: How did you 2 meet? “At our gym. I actually made fun of Eric for the noises he made working out a year before we officially met!”
How did he propose? “At Disney in front of Cinderella’s castle. He involved my entire family and his parents. I was completely surprised. ” SOBBING!
Why did you pick Granby, Colorado? “Eric always talked about proposing at the top of a mountain and since he didn’t, I thought it would be sweet if we got married on one. We love skiing and I dreamed of a snowy, winter wedding. His mom found this venue and it just all fell into place. “
What was you & his favorite part of the day? “We both said it was seeing each other at the end of the aisle.” Which spoiler alert, it was the SWEETEST first look i’ve ever seen. Look for yourself below!
